California Prop65
⚠️ Warning
1. WHAT IS PROP 65?
Only applying to California, Proposition 65 requires the State to publish and maintain a list of chemicals known to the state of California to cause: birth defects, reproductive harm and cancer.
The list of chemicals has continually grown and contains 900+ chemicals, including naturally-occurring substances. Prop 65 also expanded to cover water to supplements, play-place equipment, hardware +++
You will see Prop 65 warnings at coffee shops, majority of food products, amusement parks, restaurants, pretty much everywhere in the state of California.
2. WHAT KINDS OF FOOD ARE AFFECTED AND IS MY FOOD SAFE?
Having a Prop 65 warning does NOT automatically mean that a product is not safe, it is a "right to know" law based on the notion that the public has the right to know if they are being exposed to carcinogens or reproductive toxins. Some of the chemicals listed in Prop 65 are naturally occurring and not even Mother Nature can pass the guidelines. If tomatoes, apples, carts or lettuce were sold as a supplement they would also all have this label.
3. WHY ARE HEAVY METAL MINERALS IN MY FOODS?
4. WHY DOES Wuji USE WARNINGS LABELS?
Here at Wuji, we have added the Prop 65 warning on all our products that are ordered and shipped to California. This is to avoid costly litigation over Prop 65 compliance.
Wuji tests each harvest throughout the growing stages as well as once our Chlorella and Spirulina are packaged to ensure quality, purity and toxicity.
**Please Note**
Wuji's Chlorella's cell wall encourages the elimination of toxicity in our bodies and works hard to eliminate heavy metals and chemicals through our gut and digestion. Chlorella is considered to be nature's most potent purifier!
3rd Party Testing Results conclude that Wuji Organic Chlorella and Spirulina are below ALL FDA food regulations and Prop65 regulations for common heavy metals like Arsenic, Cadmium and Mercury and are below FDA food regulations for Lead.
